It was a beautiful, sunny day in the town of Sunset Valley. Just like it always was. Our founder, Nara Triellis, was in a taxi, on her way to her new home. As they drove past the beach, she couldn’t help but wish that she was there at that moment. Laying on the beach, sunbaking for a bit and then going into the water to do some body surfing. As I mentioned earlier, it was the perfect, sunny day for it. But no, Nara had to see her knew home and move in. Remembering the phone call she had with her parents, right before they announced that she was no longer part of the family, she smiled. They had told her that her new home would nice, big and spacious. It told her, that even though she was dead to them, that they still loved her at least somewhere in their small hearts. She wondered exactly how big it was. With all the money that her parents had, for all she knew, it could be a mansion. But of course, you, my dear readers, and I know differently.
What do you mean you know differently?
Its nothing, Nara… Oh look! Isn’t that a nice little park?
Rolling her eyes at the little voice in her head, Nara decided to ignore it and take in the town. It looked nice enough, definitely a beachy sort of town. Who knows, she may even like it here. It would take time to get used to the quiet sort of life, especially after living in a metropolis, but the founder could see herself liking it. It wasn’t too soon after that the taxi was turning into Summer Hill Court. The first thing that Nara noticed were the two mansions. A knowing smile formed on her lips. Her parents did still love her. As she wondered which one was hers, the taxi pulled up in front of a vacant lot.

…what the hell is that?
*evil smile*
…you’ve got to be kidding me! Right?
Well, it wasn’t quite vacant. There was a single bed, a trash bin and a mailbox. The taxi driver turned around in her seat. “This is 15 Summer Hill Court.”
Nara looked at the driver in disbelief. Then she shook her head. This… lot, couldn’t be her knew home. Her parents told her that they had brought her a building! Our founder then stopped a moment. No, they hadn’t specifically told her that it was a building. They had only said that it was big and spacious. A dead panned look appeared on her features. ‘Great, just great. NOW my parents decide to develop a sense of humour,’ She thought to herself.
Paying the driver, she got out of the car. The taxi sped off and Nara just stood there, staring at the lot. This was going to be a lot tougher than she had originally thought.
Now, because this is a legacy story, the creator decided, that it was time to find her a husband.
Excuse me? A husband? I don’t want a husband!
Well, you have to get one! Your biological clock is ticking and we do not have that much time.
My parents tried to make me marry. I refused them. What makes me think I’m going to let you make me?
Because I am the creator here, and you are supposed to do whatever I say!
Well, I’m not going to! I moved out so I could get AWAY from people who thought they could tell me what to do.
I don’t care! Do as I say!
No!
Yes!
No…
After about an hour of arguing with the voice in her head, Nara made a compromise with it. First, she would find a job, then she would, begrudgingly, look for potential husbands. So, she decided to head back into town. Instead of calling for a taxi though, she decided to walk. Quickly walking past the mansions, jealously eyeing them off, she made her way into town. Strolling around, taking in where everything was, she went from building to building, trying to find a job that interested her. But nothing really seemed to spark her interest, that is, until she came upon this building.

It was the law enforcement building. There was a job opening as a snitch. ‘Hmm,’ Nara thought to herself. It sounded like a job she wouldn’t mind doing. She had always been good at finding out information from people. Being a good manipulator had been part of her “woman training”. So, it seemed that something her mother had tried to force her to be, would actually be useful. Nodding to herself, she straightened up and strode in.
Hang on a sec. I thought your lifetime wish was to be an Illustrious Author?
Yeah, so?
If you get into law enforcement, then you won’t have time to get your skills up… You know what? Forget it.
As Nara asked about the position, she wondered if she should put those skills her mother had taught her, to good use. She did, and it worked! She was now officially a snitch. Her first day of work was tomorrow and she couldn’t wait! She was in such a good mood, that she didn’t mind having to go looking for potential husbands. Standing outside her workplace, she glanced around, contemplating where to go. Her eyes found themselves scanning over the park. From what she could see, there were a few people there. Letting out a sigh, she wondered over.
And here she met Lane and Leighton.

Lane the Mailman

Leighton
The first man she came across was Lane. So, she decided to satisfy the little voice in her head and introduced herself to him. As she started talking to him, Nara couldn’t help but think that this guy would definitely not be husband material. First off, he wasn’t that attractive, second of all, he seemed to like to eat dirt. Yes, dirt. She watched with a raised eyebrow as he bent over, picked up a handful of dirt off the ground, and then stuffed it into his mouth. Nara cringed. She hated daredevils, but she decided to give it one more shot.

And all he did was talk about the weather and then…

He ran away. Nara sighed. This was the very reason why she wasn’t interested in marriage. Most of the men she met where either egotistical, unattractive, or just plain losers.
Hey, now that was a bit harsh…
So? I’m right, aren’t I?
…yeah, you are.
She was about to call it quits, when she saw a sort of good looking guy walk by. ‘Hmm, maybe I was wrong,’ She thought to herself. Deciding to give it one more try, she walked over and introduced herself.

They spoke for hours. It was strange. Nara had never met a man that could keep her interested for so long! She found out that his name was Leighton Sekemoto and that he was a sports coach for toddlers. And the more she spoke to him, the more she thought to herself that this man could definitely be a potential husband. Hopefully, this guy would satisfy the voice in her head. And she was surprised to find herself thinking that she wouldn’t mind if he did. She wouldn’t mind at all. We would have to see though. Actually, we would have to find out more about this Leighton before it could be determined if he could be a husband or not.
Either way, before she knew it, it was around seven o’clock. Gasping at the time, Nara said her goodbyes and then started to head home. On her way though, she realised that she needed to use the bathroom and that she hadn’t had a shower at all today. ‘Damn,’ She thought to herself, remembering that her lot didn’t have those things. It looked like she was either going to have to go to someone’s house and ask if she could use their toilet and shower, or try and look around for some where that would have both. Luckily, she was near the community gym. Looking at it, she figured that they would definitely had both, so she went in. They did have both, and she was happy.
After, she made her way back to her empty lot. It was now about nine and she was too tired to worry, or freak out about the fact that she would be sleeping outside. Dragging her feet, almost tripping over a few times, she slid into bed and pulled up the covers. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she was asleep.

So, is that finally it for chapter 1?
Yes, Nara it is…
Oh, thank god! That was seriously way too long. I hope you aren’t going to be doing this day by day…
Don’t worry, I only like to fully document the first day, after that it’ll be whenever I think its necessary to report something.
That’s good. Wouldn’t want the readers to get bored or anything.
No… No, we wouldn’t.
